Am I Practising?

Once mainly employed in rehabilitation and general hospitals, OTs are now finding practice opportunities in a variety of settings; leading to the question: "is what I am doing occupational therapy?". Sharon clarifies the issues to consider when OTs wonder if a current or prospective job can be defined as OT practice.

CCP Paper Audits

By now, most members have heard that the newest CCP activity is underway and participants have been selected and were notified during the first week of September by email and by Canada Post.

Keeping connected

Both COTM members and the college itself are required to keep connected by regularly sharing important information. Find out more about the connection and our mutual obligation in this post.

Welcome to the new COTM Blog

According to Wikipedia, a blog (a combination of the words "web" and "log") is a discussion or informational site published on the World Wide Web. Blogs are generally comprised of individual entries or posts displayed in reverse chronological order (the most recent post appears first).

The COTM Blog will be a multi-author blog with posts written by COTM staff or guest authors to discuss and inform Manitoba OT's about current regulatory matters, such as the Continuing Competence Program (CCP). The blog will be a dynamic and interactive place on the COTM site where OTs will be able to comment on posts.

The COTM Blog has an RSS feed so that OTs can sign up to receive "push" notification of changes in the blog when updates are made. Typically, updates in other areas of the website will be referred to in the blog so the RSS feed will give you a heads up for other COTM web content changes. If you want to know more about RSS feeds,  you can start with the Wikipedia entry at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RSS

.

Looking forward to your comments!
