Formal Consultation on a new Standard of Practice for Prescribing Opioids
The College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba invites members, related stakeholders, and the public to provide comments on the proposed new Standard of Practice for Prescribing Opioids, excluding patients with active cancer, in palliative care or at the end-of-life.
The proposed new Schedule to CPSM’s Standards of Practice outlines the way in which doctors are to prescribe opioids to patients across the province. CPSM has prepared two briefing notes, one for our members and stakeholders and one for the public, and invite you to review your version prior to taking an indepth look at the draft Standard itself.
