New COTM Practice Guideline

COTM develops practice guidelines to provide guidance to Manitoba occupational therapists regarding recommended and essential components of practice in key areas. A new practice guideline has just been approved by the COTM Council following an extensive period of development, consultation and review by the COTM Practice Issues Committee.

Assessment is key to occupational therapy service and as such, all occupational therapists with a client-focus to their practice need to attend to the indicators.

This guideline presents new information as well as incorporates directives that were included in the COTM Guideline on Consultation to a Third Party.  With the introduction of the Occupational Therapy Assessment Practice Guideline, the Guideline on Consultation to a Third Party is retired.

This new guideline can be found in the Resources section of this website. If you have questions, please feel free to contact sharon.eadie@cotm.ca .  COTM is eager to know of your experience as you utilize the guideline.
